Personalized Care
In our operatory, we stress on the fact that patient participation and
motivation are the keys to successful rehabilitation and treatment. We
are one of the very few clinics delivering various types of
orthodontic and dental appliances which are fabricated immediately by
our in house technician. This is very convenient for our patients as
the number of visits to the clinic can be reduced.
We believe in following up the success of the treatment in future by keeping in regular touch with our patients.
Sterilization Protocol
Today, safety is on everyone’s mind. Safety in our office is no
exception, so we want to inform you about our infection control and
sterilization procedures Sterilization and disinfection are given the
highest priority. We treat each patient the same, and therefore use the
universal precautions for our patients. We provide the highest level of
safety so that you feel comfortable knowing these procedures are
routinely performed.
Barrier Controls
Barrier controls include the use of masks and protective eyewear, when indicated, and the use of new gloves for each patient.
Autoclave Steam Sterilization
Autoclave steam sterilization of all tools and instruments kills all microorganisms with heat after each patient appointment.
Chemical Sterilization
Chemical sterilization is the use of a gluteraldehyde solution in which
all plastic instruments unable to withstand autoclaving, are soaked in
overnight.
Disinfectants
Disinfectants are applied to the chairs, counter tops, X-ray equipment, light handles and other surface areas in all clinics.
Disposable Items
Disposable items are used whenever possible and are always discarded once used or exposed to the clinical environment.
Hand pieces (Drills)
Hand pieces are sterilized in a steam autoclave after each use to kill all microorganisms that might be present.
Infection Control
Routine orthodontic treatment does not ordinarily include invasive
procedures, which means there are no needles, injections or intentional
tissue penetration. The CDC maintains that the risk of contracting an
infectious disease at an orthodontic office is extremely remote.
Knowing that the universal precautions for infection control are
followed in our office should reassure you that we have your best
interest in mind.
