Crowning or capping involves the
reduction of the tooth and its subsequent replacement with an
artificial material like metal or ceramic or a combination of both.
A bridge replaces the missing teeth by taking support from the adjacent

Precious metal crowns and bridges
Use precious metal gold alloys
Metal Ceramic crowns and bridges
Have underlying base metal alloys veneered with esthetic
ceramic material to suit
desired shades, and provide excellent strength. These are economical
and do not chip easily. However, the metal may show at the margin and
the underlying metal may also affect the color of the ceramic.

Full metal crowns and bridges

All crown and bridge cutting procedures are followed by immediate
temporization i.e. a temporary crown or bridge, which is placed on the
cut teeth till the permanent new crown / bridge is ready .This is very
important as it prevents sensitivity, discomfort and allows you to
carry on with your daily routine. In our operatory, the temporary is
fabricated by our in house technician .
